For almost 20 years, Tierney O’Hara has been representing buyers and sellers in the Palm Beach Area. Her passion and knowledge of the Palm Beach market makes her a top producing agent.
Tierney began visiting Palm Beach regularly during annual vacations with her parents and eight brothers and sisters. Her parents owned and operated a successful New York City based advertising agency, and her family commuted between their townhouse in Manhattan and their summer home in Oyster Bay, Long Island. Winter breaks consisted of many weeks spent in Palm Beach.
Tierney’s mother was her early inspiration for her interest in real estate. Between running a large household and organizing a bustling ad agency, she successfully bought and sold real estate in New York, Long Island, and Palm Beach.
Tierney attended college at Palm Beach Atlantic University in downtown West Palm Beach. After graduation, she married Palm Beach native, Tim O’Hara whose family owned and operated O’Hara’s, the legendary night club for over 50 years.
In 2002 at the suggestion of a close friend Tierney began her real estate career. Prior to real estate, Tierney began her career with Pan American World Airways, first in New York City, then relocating to their Miami headquarters.
Tierney has been involved with many local and national causes. She is a board member of Saint Edward Catholic Church; cofounder of the “Palm Beach Flappers,” a charity to educate and end the cycle of homelessness; and Saint Ann Place in West Palm Beach just to name a few.
Recently, Tierney was awarded the title of Global Real Estate Advisor by Sotheby’s International Realty.
