Obidos is one of the most picturesque and well-preserved villages in Portugal.
Within the walls, we find a well-preserved castle and a labyrinth of streets and white houses that enchant those who walk there. From the nooks and crannies and enclosed gardens of the old medina area to the presence of the Gothic, through the Renaissance and Baroque, the village is an extensive work of carved art, rebuilt over several centuries.
As far as local cuisine is concerned, enjoy our fish stew from Lagoon de Obidos. To finish off the meal, why not try the famous Ginjinha de Obidos, which you can enjoy in several places, preferably in a chocolate cup.
