Description
In the heart of the city we offer the elegant Palazzo Odescalchi from the second half of the 17th century. Within the same we offer several solutions, among which the very important property of the 1st floor stands out with its magnificent rooms, the monumental fireplace and the stuccos of GB Barberini di Laino in Val d'Intelvi as well as the frescoes of the Fratelli Recchi; with the excluded porticoes, staircase and loggia.
The dating of the decorative intervention can be deduced, as well as from technical stylistic evaluations, from the presence in the decorations of references to historical facts in which Benedetto Odescalchi elected Pope Innocent XI in 1676 had a leading role. In the center of the vault of the staircase there is an eagle with a tiara with the papal keys in its claws.
