Description
Located in the lush San Carlos area of North-Central Costa Rica, these 300ha of tropical rainforest are earmarked for conservation. 185ha are in the Maquenque National Reserve, a biological corridor allowing a connection for wildlife between not only Nicaragua and Costa Rica, but also Costa Rica and Panamá as it connects with the La Amistad National Park that goes all the way from Costa Rica deep into the southern neighbor of Panama. Development of the land is possible but only under certain guidelines, given the conservation status of the property. A sustainable eco-adventure tourism project is possible. For individuals, corporations, organizations, cooperatives, or other groups, interested in carbon credits, tax credits, carbon offset programs, research opportunities, and preservation objectives, this uninterrupted 300ha of lush, tropical, Costa Rican jungle is fantastic.
