Description
11th Century Château with fortress listed in historical monuments of France
Overlooking the valley from an eagle’s nest, this incredible fortress is in itself a piece of Savoy History and offers an incomparable lifestyle.
The whole building is in remarkable shape thanks to a constant upkeep. The stone walls and the old sentry walk take one’s breath away with the glorious view. Built from the 11th to 15th century, the castle is a national historical monument.
The structure is composed on one side of a High Court, with splendid gardens, towers, a dungeon and other buildings including mysterious underground passages. The other side, the Low Court, has an inhabitable 15th century Manor, rebuilt during the 18th century; it is adorned with side towers, stables and its own chapel.
Works have been recently done to honour the building – the High Court is properly equipped to receive visitors or events. Contact us today to find out more.
