Description
The Quinta is located in the heart of the Douro, near the village of Barcos.
MAIN CROPS:
In the Quinta, like most of the Douro farms, the main crops implemented are the vineyard and the olive grove.
The total area of the farm is 33ha, being 10ha of vineyards, which annually produce about 110 barrels of wine (82,500kg of grapes), being about 30 barrels (22,500Kg) of port wine.
VINEYARD:
Main red grape varieties: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Amarela, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão;
Main white grape varieties: Arinto, Viosinho, Malvasia Fina, Gouveio, Moscatel.
100% of the vineyard is mechanized, 5 ha of vineyards were planted in 2015. As for the benefit, you are entitled to produce 22500 kg of grape for the production of generous must, letter B and C.
OLIVE GROVE:
Annual production:
The olive grove has about 2050 trees, in traditional olive grove system. It lacks deep maintenance, having the potential to produce about 6150 lts of olive oil.
CATCH CROPS:
In addition to the main crops, on the farm there are other secondary crops, with less productive expression, but which contribute to the diversification and valorization of the plant area. Specifically:
Cherry trees, almond trees, hazelnut trees, quinces, fig trees, pinal.
DWELLING HOUSE:
Area: 120 m2
Cardenhos: The cardenhos were recovered in 2010, under projects PRODER, ITI's, Integrated Territorial Interventions. After the commitment they can be adapted to small dwellings in order to explore the tourist aspect of the region.
Spring water and an artesian hole with very good flow. Walls in stone laid with shale.
