Description
The Palazzo, constructed in the 1920s as a winery for wine production and sales, is made of Lecce stone and features ceilings up to 6 metres high. In the cellar, majestic and exciting in terms of space and architecture, the old presses for crushing grapes can still be found. The first floor was added in 1947. Situated in the historic centre of Maglie, in a pedestrian area, the Palazzo covers approximately 800 square metres per floor.
The ground floor housed a well-established restaurant business and a commercial activity with regular leases. The high ceilings and large columns add prestige to the well-preserved ground floor property.
The first floor, which until recently housed a school, features elegant balconies, large windows and original floors, but some elements, such as the lift and panic doors, do not blend well with the beauty of the building, which is, however, ready and wellstructured to continue that use.
