FARMING AND WINE ESTATE
The Farm, with an ancient tradition, has been certified organic since 1991.
Total surface area of approximately 120 hectares;
In addition to the vineyards, there is 1 hectare of olive grove and approximately 15 hectares of arable land and meadows ideal for planting new vineyards.
Most of the vineyards in production have a planting density of 4800 vines per hectare.
The surface area currently used for viticulture is approximately 77 hectares.
The existing vineyards are composed as follows:
47 hectares of Sangiovese registered in the Chianti register (total hectares registered in the register 54);
13 hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon
1 hectares of Cabernet Franc;
2 hectares of Merlot;
2 hectares of Sirah;
6 hectares of Chardonnay;
3 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc;
4 hectares composed in equal parts of Petit Verdot, Alicante Bouschet, and other varieties, which produce about 300 hl of wine, although assembled in small quantities, are able to improve structure and aroma.
Surface area intended for gardens approximately 3 hectares.
The company has various building structures:
• a nineteenth-century manor house of approximately 660 m2 (330 m2 on the ground floor and 330 m2 on the main floor in addition to a usable attic of approximately 280 m2) and a park with centuries-old trees of approximately one hectare. ++++
• a service building a short distance away, of fine workmanship, a first-floor dwelling of approximately 660 m2. 100 (where the company's countryside manager currently resides).
• two stone farmhouses located in a panoramic and quiet position, finely renovated in keeping with traditional Tuscan architecture. There is
• a Leopoldina farmhouse renovated in the rough with a surface area of approximately 990 m2. for which a recovery plan is in place where the surfaces are expected to be used to accommodate commercial and residential spaces for the managers of the facility and for any guests.
• two warehouses of approximately 500 m2 each
• a cellar with thermo-conditioned stainless steel tanks equipped with the most advanced equipment, with a capacity of 13,000 hl, and
• three large sheds for storing tools, materials and a workshop.
