Eupilio is a town of about 2,700 inhabitants and is about 16km from the Larian capital. It rises on the slopes of Mount Cornizzolo, at an altitude between 258 and 1,140 m asl, in a pre-alpine area full of lakes and located in the heart of the upper Brianza, in a strategic position between the cities of Como, Milan and Lecco. Located between the municipalities of Eupilio, Canzo and Longone al Segrino is the Segrino lake, a small Lombard pre-Alpine lake of glacial origin. It is famous for the quality of its waters and for its happy and peaceful location, which inspired many nineteenth-century writers. In the vicinity there are three other lakes: the lake of Pusiano, of Annone and of Alserio. Eupilio is about 50 km from the Milan and Orio al Serio airports. Finally, winter sports lovers can appreciate the proximity of St. Moritz (CH), Bormio and Livigno.
