The house which is the subject of our proposal is on the first floor of a noble palace from the 1500s characterised by neoclassical friezes, with floral decorations in Lecce stone.
It is made up of nine rooms all with star vaults and windows overlooking the internal Piazzetta Arco di Prato, for a total internal surface area of approximately 293 square meters.
The property is reached by a staircase inside the courtyard of the Arco di Prato where there is also the possibility of car parking for residents.
The house is made up of: entrance onto hallway, large living area, kitchen, small attic, three double bedrooms and two bathrooms. From the living area there is access to the large terrace above the Arco di Prato with an extension of approximately 116 m2 - characterised by the architectural presence of the balustrade.
The Arco di Prato - restored two years ago - owes its name to Leonardo Prato, a man of arms and illustrious leader, who in 1479 carried the name of his family, originally from Lecce, high, distinguishing himself in the bloody battle of Rhodes against the Turks and a few years later was an active part in the peace negotiations with the Pasha.
The construction of the Arco di Prato dates back to 1500 and fully respects its style.
What is most fascinating about the Arco di Prato is its depth, which makes it look more like a gallery than an arch.
At the edges of the entrance, there are two pilasters on which the pendentives celebrating the Prato family are sculpted.
At the centre of the Arco di Prato stands a wanted and looking up you can admire a balustrade made up of shaped balusters alternating with square pillars.
On the right side, visible only to the most curious, the oldest coat of arms of the city is kept.
