Description
Tremezzina among the most beautiful villages in Italy, in the wonderful natural setting of the most famous and elegant area of Lake Como stands this magnificent Art Nouveau Villa built at the beginning of the twentieth century. Surrounded by a lush park, the property boasts unparalleled views of Lake Como.
Villa Luigia is a historic single-family residential residence consisting of three above-ground floors plus a basement for cellar use.
The villa is located in Tremezzina, a village on the western shore of Lake Como, located at the junction of the two branches of Lario. The building is located in the center of a plot overlooking Via Regina, the state road that runs along the lake. The building is Art Nouveau, probably built between the 10’s and 40’s of the 20th century. Among the most valuable elements of this architecture are the decorative bands along the façades, to be restored in various parts. Decorative cements, window frames and balcony shelves also refine the villa. The parapets are composed according to fine geometries typical of the Liberty style, also taken from the elegant windows of the ground floor along the main façade.
The villa is surrounded by dense vegetation: tall trees - including mulberry and palm trees - bushes and climbing plants.
The villa consists of three raised floors of about 60 cm from the altitude of the surrounding land. Along the front entrance, oriented in a south-east direction, the steps leading to the villa stand on a plinth, worked with a rough plaster with large grain size.
The property inside the park is completed by a 40 sqm depandance on two levels.
