In the middle of Österlen's undulating landscape and at the end of an allée of trees lies Kåseholm Castle, with its historic castle building surrounded by a beautiful park and several modern buildings for artistic and gastronomic experiences. This classic Scandinavian castle meets modern design language with influences from all over the world. In addition to the castle, there are operations in four buildings and another separate villa residence. All parts are furnished with a fantastic sense of detail and much of the influence comes from South Africa, Europe and Asia, which has been woven together with Swedish and Danish history in an absolutely brilliant way. This has been noticed in a number of international interior design magazines worldwide. A lovely, private main residence has been created, but also environments for exhibitions, large parties and gastronomy at the highest level. A park garden with iconic, centuries-old trees provides the backdrop for new art installations and Österlen's beautiful natural landscape can be enjoyed together with the farm's sheep, goats and chickens. The castle was initially built in 1650 by Johan Urne in one level, which was then further developed during the 18th century by the Thott family with the addition of second and third levels and its beautiful mansard roof. The second floor is the formal entrance level and here the castle's generous social areas are distributed within the U-shaped building. The current owners have developed the various rooms in an excellent way and succeeded in weaving an international ethos into the castle environment that is unique to Kåseholm. The classic origins remain, but thoughtful renovations and highly sophisticated interior design have created something completely new in this almost 400-year-old building. Dining rooms and lounges connect with the beautiful kitchen and terrace in a wonderfully welcoming way. As much of the original as possible has been preserved but pretty much every detail has been sensitively revisited and further refined. The salon and dining room make up the largest parts, but there is also a smaller dining area and several rooms arranged in an enfilade offer smaller sitting areas and work areas. From the larger kitchen you can reach the terrace, which creates a nice extension of the indoor environment and connects it with the castle's historic cobbled courtyard. On the same floor, there is a second kitchen, bar and lounge and four guest rooms with their own en-suite bathrooms. Upstairs is the master bedroom and a guest bedroom, both with en-suite bathrooms. There are also large areas here to furnish additional bedrooms and lounges, both in the central section and in the wings. On the ground floor there are two guest rooms with their own bathrooms and here is also the castle's wine cellar with space for storage and wine tasting. Also on the ground floor there are also several additional bedrooms and practical spaces. With its own private entrance at the rear courtyard lies a new and striking guest or rental apartment with two rooms, kitchen and bathroom. New marble and porcelain surfaces compliment original wood beams, brick alcoves and arched windows and wall details, offering a timeless experience. In addition to the main building, the estate includes six additional structures, each offering unique opportunities: Studio Kitchen : Created with two-star Michelin chef Daniel Berlin; includes a luxury kitchen for 15 guests, and a dining/lounge area for 50. Green House : Glass-walled with a fireplace, perfect for year-round gatherings. Hey Barn : Accommodates 200 guests for dinners/events with indoor-outdoor flow. Black Gallery : Spacious, well-lit for art or dining up to 150 guests, with a prep kitchen. Shop/Stable : Historic building with an antiques shop, stables, and workshop. Gatehouse : Renovated villa with a modern kitchen and three bedrooms, blending charm and comfort.
