Belardimmo offers you for sale an exclusive medieval castle in the town of Dello south of the city of Brescia in Lombardy. Dello is a small, quiet village of around 6,000 inhabitants located less than 20 minutes from the center of the city of Brescia; less than 40 minutes from Lake Garda and 1 hour 15 minutes from Milan city center.
The castle is located in a central area directly on the main square of the village called “Piazza Roma”. The location is ideal and allows access within a 100m radius to municipal services, shops, clinics and pharmacies, public and cultural places as well as the weekly market on the signposted “Piazza Roma”.
In medieval times, the castle was the main fortification of a larger defensive system that protected the city. The last major modifications to the castle date from the 19th century and in recent years several consolidation, recovery and renovation works have been carried out, allowing the entire castle a new life within the town of Dello.
Today the castle serves as a main residence but it is also used for cultural events and tastings thanks to its professional kitchen as well as its large reception room with its unique and preserved charm. Its two converted and renovated outbuildings will also allow you to benefit from a rental and/or tourist activity.
The property consists of a main body called "Castel" and 2 outbuildings: one called "stable" and the other "guardhouse". The whole is located in a park of approximately 1,905m2 including a courtyard of approximately 667m2.
The castle of approximately 1,340m2 is spread over three floors and the tower stands one level higher. The main entrance opens onto a staircase which connects the different floors of the building.
-On the ground floor is the cellar, the professional kitchen complying with current regulations, the large reception room and rooms for residential use.
-On the first floor, we still find a kitchen and various rooms (bedrooms and living room).
-On the second floor we have the attic and two more bedrooms.
“The stable” of approximately 216m2 is spread over three levels and consists of two separate residential units. In addition to having entrance from inside the castle courtyard, it also has direct entrance from the main square of the village.
-On the ground floor we find the first housing unit which has a kitchen and a bedroom and 2 bathrooms.
-The second accommodation has a large living room with kitchen on the first floor, the master bedroom with bathroom.
-The second attic floor consists of a mezzanine opening onto a living room and a bedroom with bathroom.
“The guardhouse” of approximately 74m2 is also spread over three levels.
-There are 2 rooms in the basement, one used as a technical room and the other as a laundry room.
-The other 2 floors are studios with kitchenette, and an attic on the top floor.
The stable and the guardhouse are currently dedicated to the room rental activity for a total of 6 rooms that can accommodate a maximum of 14 people.
