Casa Cavour is a real estate complex that was born from the renovation of an old building in via Cavour, in the heart of the historic center of Udine. The project involved conservative restoration, structural improvement and energy requalification of the historic building. The first documentary attestation of the building dates back to 1394. Over the centuries it has been home to various commercial activities, such as workshops, stores and taverns, until 1917 when the Banca Cooperativa took over. The project adopted a conservative methodological approach, in order to redevelop and revitalize the existing building without altering the original shape and the typological and historical-artistic characteristics of the building.
The intervention included restoration and rehabilitation works of the structure, consolidation, restoration and renewal of the constituent elements of the building, protection of the facades, insertion of accessory elements and systems required by new residential needs.
The apartments are equipped with a heat pump system for the production of domestic hot water and for air conditioning the rooms.
The summer air conditioning system is based on ceiling-mounted air conditioning units installed inside lowered false ceilings, while the winter heating system uses a radiant floor system, thus ensuring a uniform and comfortable temperature and significant energy savings.
