Description
Herdade das Cardosas', with an area of around 145 hectares, is located near Idanha-a-Nova, in Beira Baixa - Castelo Branco. It has a vast forested area, made up of several rustic buildings that adjoin each other and total the area already mentioned.
With dense areas of forest (pine, eucalyptus and holm oak), there is also an old house in ruins that used to be a cheese factory, built entirely of stone. The property also borders the River Ponsul for several hundred metres, near its mouth, and flows into the Idanha-a-Nova Dam. The forestry part is covered by a forestry lease to the owner/seller's agricultural company and also by afforestation projects subsidised by IFAP.
Access is via a tarmac road and a passable dirt track (over 3 km). From the property you can enjoy beautiful views of the immensity of the waters that make up this important reservoir.
This property, which is flat, undulating and in some places a little more folded, especially in the parts that face the river, comprises a vast area dedicated to irrigated crops and is crossed by rural roads.
The estate is naturally very suitable for grazing cattle, goats, sheep and black pigs. It is partially fenced off and there is the possibility of using Community Funds, which are so high for this disadvantaged region in the interior of the country. The property's potential could be greatly utilised for carbon profitability.
The value of 3,000.00 per hectare is very attractive to investors who want to invest their financial resources in the land, when compared to land of the same type, with similar characteristics, located in other regions, at clearly higher values, reaching up to 5,000 euros per hectare.
