The architect August Rathsagg got inspiration and ideas for the "Villa Hirsch" around 1860 from the most important architect of the Italian late Renaissance, Andrea Palladio. The "Villa Hirsch" completed the unique development of the so-called pearl necklace in 1862 as the crowning glory. The 162-year-old beauty impresses with its entire architecture, the wonderful loggia with cast-iron canopy and rich decorations. At the same time, it is part of the Heiligendamm monument area. Due to the rarity of its architecture and the preserved original exterior structure, it has significant testimony value for the architectural history of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
