The Spring Street House is a classic example of Queen Anne Victorian architecture built in 1894 as part of a series of three homes commissioned by Thomas Cole for his grandchildren, just across the way from his historic Hudson River compound in the Village of Catskill. Sited on a corner lot ensconced in greenery and gardens with a wraparound porch, a second floor sleeping porch, rear deck with Catskill Mountain views and a detached two car garage. The interior layout was developed with great care and intention, each space with a purpose and in service of the overall warm and hospitable environment.
