Description
The impressive brick building between Mollwitzstraße and Pulsstraße is one of the most stunning buildings in Charlottenburg, dating back to around the turn of the 20th century.
It was used as a maternity hospital before closing its doors in 2005. Today, 160 apartments have been created in the historic building. "Large balconies and the neighborhood structure, broken up by green axes and water basins, create an open living environment in a clearly defined neighborhood," says architect Carlos Zwick.
The park-like front yard—complete with playgrounds and gravel paths—creates a feeling of space and tranquility in nature, providing an ideal escape from the stress of big city life. The central building, the clinic’s former chapel, is the showpiece of the ensemble and is nestled centrally between the two side wings.
The “M11 Project,” situated directly under the roof truss, has been renovated into a 280 m² apartment in the historic building, offering every conceivable comfort.
