Description
Viñedos del Polo was born as a country project, an exclusive family residential area dedicated to the planting and vinification of vines, this being a neighborhood that provides from generation to generation the conviction of a living culture. With 5 hectares of vineyards, polo club, golf practice and ski lake, Viñedos del Polo is positioned as the best subdivision in Querétaro for lovers of luxury country living. Vine landscapes have stood out for their historical, geographical, oenological, artistic and cultural context. The exercise of an open-plan house in such a characteristic context has the challenge of becoming a space that coexists with the surrounding landscape and views and, in turn, generates privacy inside. Casa Vid fragments its spaces into blind volumes, which when separated, they frame views that merge with the context. When we talk about a house that is sensitive to landscape, Casa Vid is a project that is explained from the outside, developing through its gardens into the inside. The way the house is imbedded on the ground allows three large patios that provoke a smooth gradation from public to private spaces. The first garden makes up the façade and creates a link between the vine landscape and the house; It has a leisurely staircase that leads to a terrace overlooking the vine fields. A second garden surprises us as an interstice of the volumes that make up the proposal, resulting in a large tree-lined patio that houses the public area. At the back, the third garden is framed by the spaces of the main bedroom and the family room, responding to an atmosphere of silence and serenity. Casa Vid rewards its public spaces with horizontal views that extend to gardens and crowns its private spaces with double heights that generate fresh and monumental rooms. This proposal is an invitation to understand the landscape in a more everyday way, weaving together interior and exterior uses in a way of living that recovers the experience of a country life.
