The Palace is located in the historic center of Sciacca. This property, an integral part of the city’s rich architectural and cultural heritage, stands in a position of prestige and beauty, a stone’s throw from the lively main square and other monuments of historical importance.
Built in the evocative 15th century, the palace still reflects the elegance and charm of the architecture of the golden age. The palace extends over 4 levels: the total internal area of approximately 2,500 m2, a large internal garden of 500 m2 and a charming 80 m2 sea view terrace overlooking the port.
For a long time home to a branch of the noble Perollo family until the end of the 16th century, the palace has seen illustrious noble families pass through its walls. On the ground floor, four regal doors open onto the exterior, corresponding to elegant second-floor windows with horizontal frames that embrace the entire façade. The finely decorated mullioned windows catch the eye, but the real wonder is represented by the balcony with marble balustrade and three-light opening. The left facade rises like a majestic tower, crowned with a sturdy cornice that enhances its grandeur.
Gravanti’s stylistic intent is reflected in the accurate details of the sturdy crowning cornice and the Ghibelline battlements, symbolic elements that evoke the glorious past of the ancient fortifications. The magnificent wooden main door catches the eye with its overlapping ogival arches, creating a suggestive visual effect.
Inside, a welcoming courtyard opens onto an intricately carved external staircase, adding further beauty and sophistication to this authentic architectural jewel.
Furthermore, there is the possibility of creating a Roman bath in the basement, a wellness center equipped with thermal water that reaches directly inside the palace via private conduits.
