Enchanting Farm Amidst the Rolling Tuscan Hills
Situated in the hills on the slopes of the village of San Gimignano, the property covers an area of approximately 66ha, of which 22ha are cultivated with vineyards, 6ha with olive groves, 27ha are arable land and the rest covered with woodland. Each year, the estate produces about 700hl of wine and about 15hl of high quality extra virgin olive oil. The building that now houses the winery and the modern wine cellar was originally an historic residence dating back to the 19th century, which has been completely renovated while keeping the original architecture intact. The cellar has been updated following the principles of the most advanced winemaking techniques, completely modernising the rooms and facilities for processing, storing and ageing the wine. The property also includes a part designated for agritourism, consisting of 7 apartments carefully restored to achieve a skilful mix of tradition and comfort to meet the most diverse needs. The interiors are carefully furnished in typical Tuscan style, with luxury flooring, large wooden beams, simple and elegant beds and wrought-iron accessories. Everything is made even more charming by antique tables and mirrors, skilfully restored. This traditional style is combined with the more modern and clean lines of the kitchens, which are fully equipped, and the freshness of the bathroom linings, some more modern and others more classic, all equipped with accessories and characterised by first-rate materials. All the apartments have air-conditioning and all the rooms have a private bathroom. The walls are adorned with the oils and Indian ink of artist Aldo Lanciano, giving an additional touch of class to each apartment. Outside, you can enjoy a swimming pool with relaxation area, a barbecue area, equipped outdoor spaces and paths that allow to completely immerse yourself in the surrounding nature.

This estate is located in the hills surrounding the medieval town of San Gimignano, a place immersed in greenery at a short distance from all the most important artistic centres of Tuscany, and close to the Tyrrhenian coast. The area is equipped with all comforts and is just a few kilometres from the main services. The hilly position allows you to enjoy a superb view from the garden and the swimming pool, which extends from the lush garden to the sinuous expanses that unfold in the valley, and then rests on the soaring towers of San Gimignano, the symbols of a proud city, protected by mighty walls, witnesses of a history that goes back thousands of years. It is a true masterpiece beautifully frescoed by the brush of nature and the ingenuity of man, in which the harmony of shapes and colours creates a perfect synthesis. It is extremely pleasant to relax in this oasis of peace and natural well-being, where you can best appreciate the typical Tuscan countryside. At the same time, the strategic position offers the possibility of reaching the main art cities of Tuscany such as Florence, Pisa, Siena and Lucca in a short time, as well as the medieval villages in the surroundings, such as Monteriggioni, Certaldo, Volterra or the Chianti villages. The centre of San Gimignano is only 5 minutes away by car and can also be easily reached on foot. San Gimignano, with its characteristic medieval architecture and towers, has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Despite some restoration work carried out between the 19th and 20th centuries, the historic centre of San Gimignano mostly retains its 13th to 14th-century appearance and is one of the best examples in Europe of urban organisation from the communal era.
The hamlet where the farm is located is first mentioned around the mid-12th century, when it was involved in disputes caused by the possession of the 'moie', pools of brackish water from which salt, one of the most precious commodities of the time, was extracted. The land of San Gimignano was enriched precisely in those years by its towers, of which there are still thirteen today, and that together with the surrounding landscape.
