Description
Built between 1560 and 1575, the Castle retains a timeless beauty to this day. Over the centuries, it has welcomed many illustrious figures, including Popes, Cardinals, noble families, and monarchs, such as Queen Christina of Sweden in the 1600s. In 1940, the Armistice between Italy and France was signed here.
Located 20 km north of Rome, the property is surrounded by 30 hectares of meadows and woodlands, creating an enchanting atmosphere. It is also the birthplace of the legendary Ribot. The equestrian facilities are of the highest standard: two stables, one with 23 stalls and the other with 25, both equipped with tack rooms, washing areas, and small apartments for grooms. The complex also includes a covered carousel, a covered lunging ring, an indoor arena, and an outdoor riding field, ideal for breeding and high-level sporting activities.
The estate borders one of Europe's most prestigious golf courses and features a helipad for helicopter landings. Additionally, the property boasts the presence of fascinating Etruscan caves.
The main body of the Castle spans five levels. The principal reception areas are located on the ground and first floors: on the ground floor, there are spacious halls, a study, a bedroom, three bathrooms, a dining room, and a large kitchen that extends to the lower floor, making it perfect for hosting receptions and banquets.
Ascending to the first floor, there are two elegant halls with high, decorated ceilings, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms. On the second floor, there are two more bedrooms, a bathroom, a small kitchen, a laundry area, and a wardrobe.
The top floor of the Castle houses a complete apartment.
Additionally, there are eight apartments located in the four perimeter towers, along with a large villa nestled in the woods. In total, the estate comprises 34 bedrooms and 35 bathrooms, spanning approximately 6,000 sqm (64,5835 sq ft).
The property is further enhanced by a swimming pool set within an English-style lawn. For additional comfort, there is a clubhouse with a gym and a small heated pool, making this the ideal place to fully enjoy a stay in the Castle.
