Description
Discover the extraordinary residence located in La Calera, a work that has captured attention by being highlighted in the prestigious AXXIS Magazine and is now nominated for the coveted La Bienal de Arquitectura award, a recognition of maximum relevance in the national architectural field. From its inception, the owners envisioned a home that maximized stunning views without compromising privacy. This vision was translated into an innovative design: access to the land is located at the top, while the social area is erected on the second level and the bedrooms on the first. This investment in the conventional distribution of a two-story home allowed an unobstructed panoramic view of the shared areas, while connecting the private spaces with the lush vegetation that is hidden behind the perimeter of the plot. Upon crossing the threshold of the main door, the hidden landscape is revealed thanks to the large windows on the upper level, designed with double glass to create a greenhouse effect that conserves heat during the afternoons and evenings. This transparent architecture not only allows the entry of light and solar heat, but harmoniously merges the living room, dining room and kitchen with the majestic scenery of mountains and the sky of La Calera. The lower floor houses four bedrooms and a study arranged in a gallery connected by a rear corridor, strategically positioned next to the retaining wall that outlines the land. All private rooms are oriented towards the facades to enjoy direct access to the garden. The study, a key piece in this design, not only separates the secondary bedrooms from the master suite, but also allows natural light to enter the corridor, creating a cozy atmosphere. This residence embodies an avant-garde and minimalist style that redefines the limits of contemporary architecture, taking the living experience to a higher level of sophistication and elegance.
