The Anterselva Valley is part of the comune of Rasun - Anterselva, a side valley of the Puster Valley, stretching over 21 km from the entrance of Rasun to the Staller Saddle, the border crossing to the East Tyrolean Defereggen Valley. The valley is characterized by its quiet and secluded location, offering optimal conditions to escape from everyday life, relax, and rejuvenate.The biathlon center, where the world’s elite meets annually and where the 2026 Olympic Games will take place, is located in close proximity to the hotel. Not only in winter but also in summer, the area around Hotel Seehaus is a popular destination for elite athletes who use the high-altitude training to fine-tune their performance. The hotel serves as a starting point for numerous hikes and mountain tours amidst the impressive peaks of the Rieserferner Group. For those who prefer leisurely hiking, the Lake Circuit Trail, transformed into a nature experience path in 2003, offers enjoyment. Among mountain bikers, the well-known “Klammlrunde” that passes over the Staller Sattel is highly popular. In winter, when the lake freezes, it becomes a romantic ice skating spot. Skiers can enjoy themselves at the Riepenlift in Antholz Mittertal or at Kronplatz in Olang, the number 1 skiing mountain, which is about a 20-minute drive away. Property description The Hotel Seehaus is situated in a unique location right at Lake Anterselva. The former fisherman’s cottage, which was once used as a weekend getaway by Enrico Mattei, was converted into a hotel in 1984 and is now considered a charming gem in the middle of a nature reserve. The hotel features 20 guest rooms spread across 3 floors. The rooms are tastefully decorated and have been continuously renovated over the years to meet modern standards. The balconies offer a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountain landscape of the Rieserferner mountain range. On the ground floor, guests are welcomed at the reception, and the cozy lounge area with a fireplace provides a space to relax and enjoy. A special highlight is the restaurant with a sun terrace and a small jetty right on the lake. In the basement, there is a small but exquisite sauna facility with a relaxation room, storage rooms, and an underground garage.
