Galapagar is a beautiful municipality in the northwest of the Community of Madrid, 30 kilometres from the Spanish capital. It covers an area of 65 km² and borders Collado Villalba, Colmenarejo, Torrelodones, Las Rozas de Madrid, El Escorial, San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Villanueva del Pardillo, Hoyo de Manzanares, Moralzarzal and Guadarrama.
