Description
Mozambique, Maputo, Inhaca Island. This is a 4,170m2 plot of land, located on the seafront, with 12 glamping units (luxury tents), service and support areas, and a swimming pool, in an area of dunes, with characteristics typical of a coastal area with dense native vegetation and rugged terrain, in addition to a low population density and ephemeral buildings. The Nhacane Lodge project aims to increase the hotel supply in this geographical area and contribute to the creation of local jobs. The buildings that make up the tourist complex will be built as much as possible using natural materials with low environmental impact, using wood as the predominant material whenever possible. For this reason, the buildings will be easy to remove from the site. The buildings constructed and the pedestrian paths surrounding the buildings will be made of wooden structures, elevated in relation to ground level. In this way, the impact of the buildings on the environment in which they are located will be minimized as much as possible and preserve the natural movement of the sand. Due to its location, the land is only accessible from Maputo by sea. The water supply for the houses is ensured by collecting water from the ground, through wells and boreholes, and storing it in tanks from which the water network will be organized. The sewage will be directed to a septic tank. The energy supply is provided by a transformer provided by the public electricity company (EDM) and its distribution is centralized throughout the entire extension of the plot. The tourist complex will be organized into 4 independent groups distributed throughout the plot. The front area will be the public services, such as: reception, bar, various terraces, swimming pools and, at the top, on a raised platform, the service blocks. The dormitories are located on the opposite side for greater privacy and distance from the noisiest areas. In the first phase, 7 dormitories will be built and, in a future phase, 5 more dormitories of the same type will be built. In terms of parking, the complex will provide spaces close to the current access.
