Opposite the town is the only island of Lake Como - Isola Comacina - open for tourists who can explore the ruins of the ancient baptistery and the foundation of a historic church. Milan is reachable in about an hour and a half, as well as the international airport of Milan Malpensa.

Thanks to the Lake Como ferry boats, Bellagio is easily reachable and the city of Menaggio is only a few kilometers away.
