UNIQUE! ARCHITECT CACCIA DOMINIONI
LE CASACCE COMPLEX
Le Casacce is a complex of single-family villas built a short distance from each other in the unitary context of a green hill, high above the sea, called “La Rotonda”, due to its circular geographical aspect
The architect Caccia Dominioni, struck by the beauty of the lot, developed the idea of building a sort of "family village" (even today one of these villas is inhabited by his family), where the need for unity was realized, but where every single nucleus could enjoy the private and autonomous dimension: this is the reason for the orientation of the gardens, the individual windows and the accesses.
Caccia brought great attention to the care of the interiors (still preserved with great merit and perfectly uncorrupted in some houses), while for the exteriors he religiously considered the nature of the landscape, the incidence of light, the strength of the wind”
-VILLA “L 'HUG' -
When I went for the photo shoot, I spent almost 4 hours in the house: the peace, the absolute privacy, the chirping of the birds, the light breeze, the 360° view; all this and much more gave rise to the feeling of a tender and loving embrace in me.
THE CONTEXT
We are in Via della Rotonda in an area reserved for 4 villas, with Concierge service and splendid, well-kept communal gardens.
THE SIZE
The total covered area of the property is 238 m2 divided over 3 floors; The patio measures 20 m2; The garden measures 600 m2; The fourth floor consists of a 25m2 terrace; The basement is approximately 30 m2
THE COMPOSITION
GROUND FLOOR: Upon entering, (the entrance is independent) we find ourselves in a large space where
- on the left we have the slate stairs that lead to the first floor and the basement; - in front of us a corridor leads to a hallway where we find: kitchen (with French doors to access the service garden), laundry, a bathroom and a bedroom [once reserved for the maid]; - on the right the double living room (with working fireplace) divided into a dining area and a relaxation area.
FIRST FLOOR: Once on this floor we immediately realize that the surrounding greenery leaves room for the sea view and each window offers an author's painting. Here we find: room used as a laundry area or additional bathroom (the systems are already present) or smart-working, 2 double bedrooms, large corridor with built-in wardrobes, windowed bathroom with tub and 2 sinks. SECOND FLOOR: The large newel post door to the main floor divided into 2 huge rooms: master bedroom where we "obviously" find the fireplace, wardrobe room and bathroom. As you can imagine, here the light dominates, the sea view, the view of the pine forest and the mountains
THIRD FLOOR: Let's have the "big hug" ......the terrace dominates everything .....unique sensation!
