This monumental granite mansion was built in the 19th century and was not only a residential house, but also the village school. The building is now a residential house, consisting of three residential floors. On the ground floor is a spacious kitchen with pantry, a living room and a guest toilet. On the first floor are 3 bedrooms, a common bathroom (with shower) and a sitting room. One of the bedrooms has a bathroom en suite, with bath and shower. On the second floor are three more bedrooms and a shared bathroom (with shower). Here too, one of the bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom (with shower). The registered living area is almost 300 m². There are also two barns on the property with a registered surface area of 100 m².

The house is connected to mains water, electricity and the municipal sewage system. Internet is available in the village and easy to request. There are also several water sources. There is diesel central heating and the living rooms have a fireplace. The windows are double glazed.

The house is situated on a pretty flat plot, with some terraces, of approximately 0.7 ha. This is arranged as a garden and has a variety of ornamental and fruit trees such as orange, mandarin, pear, peach, loquat and cherry. Sweet chestnut and walnut trees also grow there. The ground is walled/fenced. Paved walking paths on the property lead to the different spheres of the ground, to enjoy the beautiful view.

From the house and from the ground is a beautiful panoramic view of the village and the mountains of the Serra de Estrela.
Where is it?
The accessibility is good via a paved road. Santa Ovaia has a few cafes and a supermarket. Oliveira do Hospital is approximately 8 km away. This is a small provincial town where the main facilities are present such as shops, post office, banks, small hospital, schools and weekly market. The larger cities of Coimbra and Viseu are 65 km and 55 km away respectively.
