Vernazza is the second village of the Cinque Terre all of which is within the homonymous National Park. Together with Porto Venere and the islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto, they make up a UNESCO heritage site.
Founded around the year 1000, Vernazza offers a unique landscape made of dry stone walls and fields overlooking the sea. Its center is characterized by the classic multi-colored houses typical of the region, small souvenir shops and places where you can taste the excellent typical dishes such as focaccia.
At the end of the main street is the very famous marina hosting the Church of Santa Margherita d’Antiochia and the Doria castle, two of the main attractions of the town.
