Description
Herdade da Pradaria, with an area of 844 hectares, is located in the Beja region, in Alentejo.
It is probably, due to its characteristics and the way it is infrastructured, one of the best properties in the region dedicated to the breeding and fattening of cattle. Consisting of a dense Holm oak forest, it is morphologically flat and slightly undulated, and enjoys excellent accesses. It has two independent houses, built in 2006.
It is effectively a property very valued for its infrastructures, which we highlight, such as
- Agricultural Pavilion;
- Silos;
- Fattening Pavilion;
- Pavilions / Haylofts.
Other infrastructures to point out:
-2 large dams built in 2021 - total capacity: 171 000 m3;
- Photovoltaic Panels Park: dimensioned for the electric needs of the social area and agricultural department - in need of repair;
- Several boreholes and wells for livestock, with an electro photovoltaic system for groundwater collection;
- Stables and fences.
This is an important asset, which in addition to its size, the nature of the land for arable crops and the cultivation of pastures for livestock is a very important asset, which could be greatly supported in terms of irrigation by the two existing dams. (Ref. 140-2)
