Description
GM1232 – TAVOLETO (PU) - Perched on the crest of a hill in the Foglia Valley, halfway between Urbino and the Adriatic coast, this splendid manor welcomes us in the center of a small village in the Marche hinterland, making itself admired from afar with its beautiful and elegant shape typical of the medieval era. The construction of the main nucleus dates back to 1290, when the Malatesta family commissioned its construction.
The property then, contested with numerous attacks, passed to the Montefeltro family and later to the Papal State, arriving up to the present day, where, after many vicissitudes, the current Ownership has been able to enhance this extraordinary property with an impressive restoration by intervening on the external walls , the roofs, the attics, the floors and the technical systems, using recycled materials and operating in a very careful manner without distorting the spectacular medieval setting that can be found inside the Castle. Inside the structure we find, in fact, various perfectly renovated halls, used today as elegant banquet rooms for corporate ceremonies and conferences in a spectacular historical and prestigious setting.
On the upper floors, where the renovation has yet to be completed, we find five bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, as well as two apartments, private rooms of Count Petrangolini, with beautiful walls and ceilings frescoed and decorated during the reconstruction carried out by the Count himself, in the second half of the 19th century, as well as two large balconies from which to admire the panorama of the valley below up to the sea.
The structure it is embellished with a mighty crenellated tower almost 40 meters high, from which the panorama extends as far as the eye can see, passing from the Romagna and Marche coasts to nearby San Marino and the beautiful surrounding valleys. Beyond the tower we also find the high surrounding walls with three characteristic turrets where additional spaces can be created to be used as needed.
In fact, the structure lends itself to being used as an elegant private residence or even in the wake of today's use, as a luxury Relais for stays in a fantastic historical setting a few steps from important tourist locations such as Urbino and the seaside resorts of the Adriatic coast.
The covered area is over 2000m2, part of which has been finely restored and part on which it is necessary to complete the renovation depending on the use that the new lucky owners will make of it.
