Casa Aquilea is an old farmhouse dating back to 1820, the last house of the village of Aquilea, a lively ancient village just out of a painter's sketch book, at the top of a hill not far from Lucca. The pool, with its roman stairs, is salt-filtered and surrounded by ancient flagstones. The enclosed garden numbers a hundred olive trees currently producing the finest quality olive oil, as well as various fruit trees.
