Description
Casas da Encosta is a fantastic Rural Tourism complex consisting of 7 houses. It is located in a village in the municipality of Vila Nova de Foz Coa, where many marks of the past are still present.
With the aim of conserving the rural heritage of the village, these houses were rebuilt, fully safeguarding their initial design, the materials used and recovering construction techniques characteristic of the region.
With a capacity for 20 people, Casas da Encosta welcomes visitors from all over the world.
This Rural Tourism consists of 6 houses inserted in a kind of closed condominium at the top of the village, with a capacity of 1 to 4 people each, depending on the desired house.
Located in a region with immense history, surrounded by Castles and Roman Towns, not forgetting the Coa Valley, where you can find the largest outdoor collection of Rock Engravings in Portugal. It is also very close to the Douro River and an important demarcated wine area.
With 3 T2 dwellings, 3 T1 dwellings and 1 reception, Casas da Encosta were rebuilt and adapted to current times, with excellent and high quality materials, not forgetting what they were before.
