Description
In the heart of the historic center of Parabita Palazzo dei Veneziani is a building of considerable historical and architectural value (16th century). Frescoes of a religious nature and in the basement a Byzantine crypt with presences and traces of paintings make it a jewel of the village. The house, restored to the smallest detail, is equipped with the most modern systems and services. The two-storey building has star-vaulted rooms on the upper floor and barrel vaults on the lower one. The rear part overlooks a loggia. Upstairs there is a covered balcony, embellished with large round arches and a balustrade. The balustrade is taken up in style and shape on the corner balcony of the side facade, made of carparo and supported by shelves which constitutes the oldest part of the building (1500). The main facade dates back to the nineteenth century. The internal courtyard leads to a crypt with a 13th century fresco depicting Saint Anthony the Abbot.
