Description
The project is located along a coast line of 15 km of undeveloped seafront near Monastir in Tunisia. The map on the right shows the site (point 2) extending southeast from Monastir, from an existing marina adjacent to the town and a small harbor near Bannan. the innovative concept will undoubtedly make Riviera International the first Resort integrated site in Tunisia and in the region, covering an area of 1270 ha, with the possibility of extension.
The concept is to recreate world famous locations such as Cannes, St Tropez, Venice, Marbella, Portofino, Miami, etc., in a development, so not only to reproduce the architectural features of these destinations, but also to recreate the atmosphere within these destinations. Riviera International will include a large residential component, offering a range of accommodation, such as apartments, townhouses, luxury villas, etc. Whenever possible the residences will benefit from sea view, the first sites being located on the coastal facade.
The development will have a potential of 60,000 residential homes.
In the center of Riviera International there will be "The Island of Pleasure", home to many restaurants, bars, shops, cinemas, a diverse mix of theme parks, water parks, golf courses and shopping areas. In addition, this space will be laid out as a "Las Vegas" with a minimum of six major casinos (with the potential to create more if market demand exists). The casinos will function as key to the night entertainment making Riviera International one of the largest and closest destinations of the game and shows of mainland Europe and the Middle East. The offer of entertainment and entertainment will be one of the commercial assets of Riviera International.
The area defined for the development of Riviera International includes about 260 hectares of existing land (the majority of which is in the north, closer to Monastir and includes the current marina and its operation) and the possibility of recovering about 1,100 hectares of Mediterranean land in the Bay of Monastir (with complete sanitation of this area, the lagoons and surrounding areas).
Hotels - The realization of the project of 40 hotels (5, 4 and 3 stars). As well as traditional resort hotels, the properties will include shops and hotel residences.
Casinos - In the end, a minimum of six Las Vegas-style casinos will be built on a single site to create a gaming hub in the spirit of Las Vegas and Macau.
Residences - About 40 to 60,000 residences will be built, accommodations ranging from the waterfront of the town house, to villas, apartments and golf residences.
Golf Course - Three international golf courses meeting the standards and a golf academy would be developed with an average area of a site of 60 ha per establishment. (a Water Golf concept included),
Marinas - A total of three marinas could be developed, one in Phase 1, and two in Phase 3, with an average of 200 spots per marina. Retail - two large, tax-free poles with an average gross leasable area of 80,000
m2 per center.
