CASCAIS
Cascais was born as a fishing village, but nowadays it is the terraces, restaurants and shops that enliven the bay and the historic centre.

In the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries of aristocratic character, they are now cultural and leisure spaces, which make known more about the history of this village. Very close to the latter, we cannot fail to notice the Casa das Historias de Paula Rego, a contemporary building of very peculiar architecture, where you can find part of the works of the Portuguese artist and which is worth visiting.
Right by the sea, at one of the highest points, we see the Palacio da Cidadela, home of the former governor of Cascais, the one chosen by King D. Luis for his residence. It is currently under the supervision of the Presidency of the Portuguese Republic. On the side facing the sea, you can see the Cascais Marina.
Naturally, the proximity of the Atlantic has always helped to keep alive the tradition of fishing and water sports, in which sailing stands out. It is one of the main surfing and windsurfing spots on the Portuguese coast that is part of world championships.
Cascais is also recognised in Golf. The various courses located here are considered some of the best in the world and are part of international championships. They allow a quality practice, with various levels of experience and demanding challenges, in a pleasant environment all year round.
