Set in the beautiful vibrant green grounds of County Limerick in the Emerald Isle, Adare Manor is somewhat of a fairytale retreat and a true gem in Irish tourism.
With an estimated value in the region of €30m, the trophy five-star hotel and golf resort is now on the market and is to be sold to the highest bidder. The luxury property is located in Adare, County Limerick, and occupies around 400 hectares.
Dating back to 1830, the manor was originally owned by the Dunraven family, it was then purchased by Tom Kane in 1987, who added to the properties charm over the years.
The former American Marine, Mr. Kane, purchased the residence “as a lark” without having even seen a picture of the mesmerizing property. He made an offer of £2m and a day later he was the new proud owner of Adare Manor.
From this point onwards the refurbishment and revival of the resort kicked off without ever coming to an end. The renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones worked his magic on the resorts flagship golf course, and on July 15th 1988 Adare Manor opened its doors with 15 bedrooms. Additional rooms were completed in September of the same year, reaching 36 rooms in no time.
The luxury property has since continued to expand and flourish, both in terms of dimensions and prestige, obtaining an envied status in its field within Europe. The exclusive manor has had an array of important guests stay in its magical grounds, including President Clinton and other heads of state, as well as important sportsmen such as golf sensation Tiger Woods.
With a strong and evolving background, the luxury Irish property is now ready for a new phase of growth and success under the direction of its new owner to be.
