It is no surprise that the elite can be quite eclectic, but this wealthy Hong Kong citizen has taken it to the next level, all for the sake of a shiny red Ferrari.
The Ferrari fanatic couldn’t stand the idea of having his precious vehicle out of his sight, tucked away in a garage. A thought apparently shared amongst many car lovers. The difference is, this time the dream was transformed into reality, with the help of Millimeter Interior Design, the renowned architectural studio famous for its extravagant architectural solutions.
The architects invited the idea with great enthusiasm and followed through, achieving an innovative result, both practical and of course pleasing to the eye. What started out as a simple daydream, developed into a true en suite sky garage, in full view of the living room, wisely composed as almost a modern square-shaped glass safety box.
The residence which houses the unheard of “garage” is located in Sai Kung, spread out over three levels. Complete with this alternative approach to parking, the high-end home is one of a kind, and is now so much more than your typical luxury home.
The style of the luxury Hong Kong apartment is rather minimal, with a strong use of metal and glass in order to create geometry and ample space without excess. Misaligned levels add to the structure and the sense of space and modernity. The view of the Ferrari in the living room is the final touch of modernity and class expressed in simple forms with a striking finish.
The owner of the high-end property has expressed that his objective was not to improve the interior of his home, but to find a practical solution for his vehicle, allowing him to admire it from his sofa in the luxury of his own home.
