Brazil has earned its first gold medal in the residential category of the 65th edition of the Priz d’Excellence, which was held in Luxemburg last May. In addition to the gold medal in the Low Rise Residential category with Vila dos Corais in Pernambuco, Brazil was also awarded in the Office category for the Centro Empresarial Senado in Rio de Janeiro.
The Vila dos Corais condo was created by the construction company Odebrecht Realizações Imobiliárias. The condo, which was the first of its kind in the neighborhood, combines subtlety, comfort, and conviviality with nature. The luxury condominium in the northeast of Brazil is composed of six towers, with 132 apartments, built upon 60,000 sqm of land, of which 345 meters face the sea and the swimming pool.
Architect Jerônimo Cunha Lima created five different designs, with emphasis on the so-called “garden apartments” and “linear penthouses”. The garden apartments are found on the ground floor and incorporate the comfort of a house with the convenience of an apartment. The lower level is complete with private garages and a laundry room. Needless to say these apartments have a garden and a terrace with a private swimming pool. The linear penthouses on the other hand are the equivalent of two apartments side by side, with a terrace swimming pool, five suites, various living spaces and a kitchen and laundry room.
The other 96 apartments have two balconies, one beach facing and the other facing the wood. The spacing was carefully studied to ensure maximum natural light and ventilation. All of the apartments are composed of four suites, with garage spaces. The final luxury touches can be noted in the communal area of the condo: consisting of a bicycle lane, a jogging track, a swimming pool, gazebo, playground, sport grounds, events room, gym, disco, cinema and an enormous parking lot.
It isn’t hard to understand why the luxury Brazilian condo won the Low Rise Residential award.
