This luxury villa, once owned by American actor and comedian Eddie Murphy, is now for sale. The high-end property is ideally positioned overlooking a lake in Granite Bay, north of Sacramento in California.
Although Eddie Murphy was born in New York and lived in New Jersey, he purchased this house in 1998 when he was married to his ex-wife Nicole Mitchell. In 2007 it was sold to its current owner for $6.1 million (around €4.5 million). It is now worth $12 million (around €8.8 million euro).
The entire space of the luxury property expands over 1.200 square meters, of which 500 square meters are indoor. The interior is furnished with numerous sofas and chairs that lean toward the wild side of Murphy, representing his style of life.
Furthermore, the entire property enjoys spectacular views of the skyline of Sacramento, lake Folsom and the hills of Sierra Nevada.
The facilities within the house include an advanced lighting system, handcrafted upholstery, heated flooring and an internal elevator. The curved staircase that leads to the various floors creates wonderful light and a sense of space thanks to the never-ending windows that envelope the walls.
The high-end property includes a formal dining room, a large living room, a living room with a fireplace, and a gourmet kitchen with a butler. Last but not least, the property is also equipped with an ample gym, a private cinema that seats 12, a games room and a pool table room.
