Description

Well-versed in the challenges people face when moving to and from New York City, Diane Wildowsky brings a depth of experience working with the emotional challenges of buying, selling, or renting property. She was among the first women in the country to sell the services of a moving and storage company, and as a result, comforted many a nervous homeowner as decisions were made and family heirlooms and precious treasures were packed, transported and unpacked.

Later, Diane established Cold Call Enterprises, which evolved out of her effortless ability to reach and talk with difficult-to-access senior executives in top corporations. Diane trained and coached a hand-picked staff of talented people who, using her techniques went on to develop new business meetings primarily for public relations and advertising directors with CEOs in Fortune 500 companies.

Diane launched her real estate career in 2003 with Sotheby's International Realty - Downtown Manhattan brokerage where she brought her savvy marketing experience to build a solid business in helping people buy, sell, and rent a range of properties throughout Manhattan and parts of Brooklyn.

She has a reputation as a trusted advisor, and is known for her tenacity and ability to maintain calm in the middle of a storm. From selling a 30-unit apartment building with 30 rent stabilized tenants (still happily in place) to some very special Greenwich Village townhouses, to helping people transfer their rights to sell, Diane has done it all.

Diane grew up on a farm in Canterbury, Connecticut, graduated from the Katharine Gibbs School Liberal Arts program in Boston, Massachusetts, and spent five years in San Francisco, California working for a real estate investment company headquartered in Hong Kong before settling in New York City.

Diane currently lives on the Upper West Side, having moved uptown after 16 years in the West Village. She remains active in her former neighborhood, however, as a close friend and supporter of the Bedford, Barrow, Commerce Street Block Association. She is a member of the Greenwich Village Society for Historical Preservation, the Federation to Save the Waterfront, and the Real Estate Board of New York.

With several clients and some family members hearing impaired, she is learning ASL and looks forward to working more with the deaf community.

Diane has ridden in the Boston to New York AIDS Bike Ride 2000, walked in the Susan G. Komen Foundation Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk in 2004, and hosted the first New York fundraiser for the Initiative to Educate Afghan Women. She is also former president of the 740 West End Avenue Tenant's Association.
