Description
The most successful Realtors build their business on repeat clients and referrals. Ricky Allen is committed to providing the necessary energy and enthusiasm in order to exceed expectations of a Realtor. Ricky has an extensive background in business and negotiations, and a real passion for real estate. He bought his first property in his early 20s, and has bought and sold within his own portfolio of real estate for over 30 years. Ricky has a wide range of real estate experience, from owning and managing international investment properties to possessing residential development experience. He not only has experience in 1031 tax-deferred exchanges, but he also has a keen eye for residential design components.
Ricky possesses a BS in Economics from the University of Missouri and an MBA from Washington University. However, his most valuable life lessons have come from his extensive international travels and interactions with many diverse cultures. He has traveled trading in precious gemstones in places such as Myanmar (Burma) and Sri Lanka.
Ricky's entrepreneurial spirit and work ethic began at an early age with a strong family influence. His grandfather immigrated from Poland in the early 1900s with only a backpack to his name and began peddling. A general store soon opened. Three generations later, the family company became one of the largest food service companies in the U.S.
Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Ricky has maintained his Midwestern family values and work ethic. Ricky and his wife, Cathy, have traveled the world near and far, yet have found no place as magical as Santa Fe. They have a beautiful horse ranch in Santa Fe where they ride and train Peruvian Paso horses.
Ricky has spent three winters at Vail Ski Resort, giving skiers the ultimate customer service and providing guided ski tours of the mountain. He also loves road biking, swimming, racquetball and squash. His other passions are cooking and enjoying red wine.
