Mark got his real estate license at age 23 and started selling real estate in Syracuse, New York. He quickly rose to become one of the top agents in the marketplace and eventually owned his firm, Mark Mayer Real Estate Company. He became the number one agent in the Syracuse Marketplace by 1995, selling over 165 homes that year and more than 1,000 homes in his first seven years in the business.
Mark relocated his family to Hilton Head Island, SC, in the late nineties, where he joined Sea Pines Real Estate Company. In 2001, Mark co-founded the Mayer Collins Real Estate Team with his partner Chip Collins, one of the first real estate teams in Beaufort County. He eventually joined Engel and Volkers Real Estate Company in 2016 before purchasing the company in December 2018 and growing it to over 30 agents and three local offices. Under his leadership, it became one of the top 15 companies on the island, competing with much larger firms. Mark now brings his dedication and passion for the dynamic Hilton Head Island real estate market to Daniel Ravenel Sotheby's International Realty.
When Mark is not working, he enjoys hiking, camping, RVing, and riding horses with his two Australian shepherds, Winnie and Willow. These activities reflect his adventurous spirit and love for nature.
