Mark is the proud creator and leader of the Kelaidis Group, a family-run real estate team that has served Southern California for three generations.
First licensed in 1985 while attending Westminster College in Salt Lake City, he joined a small brokerage and quickly sold his first home. That was nearly the end of his real estate career, though, as it was the only home he sold that year. So in his second year, Mark joined a larger brokerage, started advertising, received training, and the phones started ringing. Hard work and determination are something he learned early on in this business - something he's taught to hundreds of other real estate agent he's trained and coached over the years.
After many successful years as a top-producing agent selling 100 homes per year, Mark purchased a portion of the company he worked for, a Century 21 franchise with 5 locations and nearly 300 agents. This deal was the catalyst for a long, successful run in ownership, management, and leadership for some of the best-known real estate brands in the country.
In 2014, while operating as the Regional Manager of 15 San Francisco Bay area offices, Mark and a couple of partners began conversations with Engel & Völkers, the global luxury brand founded in Germany. The brand was prevalent worldwide but without much presence in the western half of the United States. So they closed a deal with the international conglomerate and started two new shops in Park City and San Francisco.
While his partner ran Park City, Mark launched Engel & Völkers San Francisco and quickly grew the office to 65 agents in 6 months. This accomplishment won him an award for the fastest start of any shop the brand had commenced. Coined the Gestalt Group with Mark as General Manager, the company continued to grow, opening shops in Nevada and Arizona and expanding in California from Mendocino County down to Orange County.
By 2021 the Gestalt Group grew to be the largest franchisee of Engel & Völkers, with 38 offices in 6 states and more than 750 advisors. Mark had been working on getting the company to such a point that would enable him to confidently replace himself as General Manager, allowing him to start his newest venture. Something he and his son Nikko had been planning for a long time.
After many strong years in leadership, Mark and his son created the Kelaidis Group, a real estate team based in Newport Beach, where Mark grew up and has always called home. This dynamic and strategic partnership has paired more than 50 years of combined experience and hundreds of closed transactions across multiple real estate sectors.
Mark has helped hundreds of real estate advisors and clients achieve their dreams while delivering a mountain of passion, knowledge, and the same hard work and determination that started it all.
