Kim Yoon McLaughlin is a longtime resident of Maui for over 2 decades. She is known to be a community builder and has devoted her life outside of Real Estate to helping the people that make Maui the special Island that we all love. Kim has lifelong passion of helping others and was the President and Co-Founder of Boots On The Ground Maui until she dissolved it in 2024 to shift the business into another vehicle to help the community. The not-for-profit organization was a consistent supporter of the Maui Fire Department and fire survivor families of the August 2023 tragedy. Boots On The Ground Maui awarded grants to all of the firefighters that lost their homes in the fire, along with needed sports equipment to the department, thousands in gifts, supplies and grants to fire survivors as well as tens of thousands in donations to the Maui Humane Society, MEO and a Lahaina focused non-profit. Her company filmed a TV show Random Acts, partnered with Make-A-Wish Foundation which made a young girl’s wish of coming to Maui and help Maui fire survivor children a reality.
Kim is a devoted Mother and along with her two children have spent years feeding the homeless on their own. She is absolutely dedicated to helping those that are still rising to their best life. Both her organization and dedication to her community have been given acknowledgement over the years in news outlets such as the Maui News, KITV, BBC, ABC and NPR.
Outside of all of her many years of experience managing vacation rental and long-term rental portfolios for her clientele, Kim has assisted her clients in the acquisition and sales of their properties. Kim’s philosophy on Real Estate is that every human deserves a Home and everyone deserves to accomplish their dreams. The American Dream is a Lifestyle show with a viewership of over multiple millions that highlights both real estate and local life on the Island. It is showcased on HGTV, Trvl channel, Prime Video, Apple TV, Roku CNBC, Bloomberg and more. Kim attributes her successful real estate career and thriving personal life to her daily practice of gratitude, meditation, journaling, pursuit of constant learning and treating others with kindness.
