Raised in Marin County, Zack graduated from the University of Oregon. While at Oregon, Zack was directly involved in the business and operations side of intercollegiate athletics, working as a football operations and recruiting intern. Upon graduation, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found Branding Ventures, a branding, consulting, and digital marketing agency. Zack led internal operations while consulting clients on defining brand strategy, brand identity, and digital storytelling. Zack has always carried a passion for sports, leading him to join sports radio 750 The Game in Portland as a producer and on-air talent. He spent over a year as the producer for Oregon’s top-rated sports radio show, the ‘Bald Faced Truth’ with John Canzano. His success with the station landed him his own show on Saturday mornings (Bet The Game), the first live and local sports betting show in the state. Towards the end of his time as a sports radio personality, Zack married his wife Katya and moved back to Marin County. He has since teamed up with his mother, Kathy Schlegel, to contribute to her 30+ years of experience as a Realtor in Marin. Their family real estate team known as ‘The Schlegel Group’ works with buyers and sellers in Marin and Sonoma County. Zack provides a combination of local knowledge, professionalism, integrity, and a natural ability to connect and build lasting relationships with his clients. In his free time, you might find Zack and his wife in the gym, running, hiking, surfing, attending sporting events, and/or exploring all the wonderful attractions that the Bay Area has to offer.
