Craig Stolzenfels began his hospitality career while attending West Virginia University almost 31 years ago. After a summer internship at a golf resort overlooking Cheat Lake, Craig realized that hospitality was his passion. He has been fortunate enough to work at some incredible resorts, including Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Pennsylvania, The Inn at Leola Village, a boutique resort in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, as well as Seven Springs Mountain Resort and Hidden Valley Resort in Pennsylvania. He was hired by Victor International to manage Biras Creek Resort in the British Virgin Islands for 2 ½ years, which was a 31 villa ocean front property and was renowned worldwide for its incredible service and high quality culinary expertise.
Craig was given the opportunity to work for Victor International a second time, to live and work along the shoreline of Lake Michigan at Bay Harbor where he has been the General Manager at Village Suites since 2018. It was a natural progression for him to receive his real estate license in August of 2023. He enjoys helping people find the right vacation escape especially when it involves the Marina District and Bay Harbor.
Craig’s family, his wife Carolyne and two children, Reed and Ellie, all agree that Michigan is the perfect home for them. Reed, currently is living abroad in the UK and Ellie has just finished her Freshman year at Grand Valley.
Craig enjoys skiing at Nub’s Nob or at one of the Boyne Resorts in the winter and races on Team Gypsy in the Bahnhof league. Among many hobbies and passions, golf has always been his number one. He thoroughly enjoys golfing in the summer and fall on Boyne’s world class courses.
Craig has proudly been a Petoskey Rotarian for two years. He serves on the board of the Petoskey Area Visitors Bureau and is currently the board Chair. He also serves on the board for the Bay Harbor Foundation. Craig is very excited for the future in real estate. He finds wearing many hats to be stimulating and challenging. He loves working in Bay Harbor and living in the beautiful countryside of Charlevoix.
