Before making Midcoast Maine his permanent home a decade ago, David spent over fifteen years in the growing city of Portland, including Peaks Island, an idyllic island just a short ferry ride from the city. Portland is where David's life took remarkable turns: he met his wife there and it was the birthplace of both his children. For David, Maine is not just a location, it's a place he deeply cherishes and proudly calls home.
David was first introduced to beautiful Midcoast Maine over twenty years ago by his wife, whose family owned a cottage called “White Cedars” on the landward side of Beauchamp Point in Rockport. The natural splendor of the coastline instantly captured his heart. His upbringing in the close-knit communities of Topsfield, Kennebunkport, and Rangeley further heightened his appreciation for the community spirit and the serene lifestyle that the Midcoast embodies. Eventually, David and his wife found their family home in Damariscotta, and both of their children attended the Damariscotta Montessori School.
Now parents to two teenagers, David and his wife are actively engaged in the community, wholeheartedly supporting their children's interests, like sailing and tennis at the Central Lincoln County YMCA, and playing cello with the Seacoast Youth and Community Orchestra (SYCO), where his wife also serves on the board. Beyond his professional commitments and community involvement, David finds solace and joy in the great outdoors and embracing the active Maine lifestyle. Whether it's navigating the waters of the Damariscotta River by boat or carving down the slopes at Saddleback ski resort in Rangeley, David relishes every facet of this beautiful state. His arm can also be twisted to share his favorite Maine breweries and the best cruising roads for driving in a convertible.
Transitioning from a multi-decade career in the insurance industry to real estate was a natural evolution for David.
