Joel “Skip” Schilperoort grew up in the Pacific Northwest and graduated from Gonzaga University with a degree in finance and marketing. Sports have been a huge influence in his life, as he played Division 1 soccer at Gonzaga. This natural competitiveness and entrepreneurial drive as well as his family ties to the Bay Area has driven him to a seamless transition into a career in real estate. Now eight+ years into his real estate career, Joel has worked his way up from ground zero to become one of the top producers at his prior company and recently received his broker’s license. Seeking to take his business to even greater heights led him to join the top luxury brokerage in the Bay Area, Sotheby’s International Realty.

Joel currently resides in Larkspur, just over the Golden Gate Bridge amongst the redwoods with his wife and daughter. They purchased a 1908 cosmetic fixer craftsman home at the beginning of the pandemic and have since repositioned the property and restored it to its former glory. In his free time Joel is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying the many running/biking trails of Marin or the occasional round of golf and most importantly spending time with his family.
